Bones

My entry for the "Singing Hearts" contest [link] by [link] . A young Leandra Amell and Raleigh Hawke are my subjects. This is a foreshadowing to All That Remains. Maybe it's a nightmare that Raleigh Hawke had. What a wonderfully written and executed quest that was. THE FEELS.

Of note are my favorite few lyrics from the end:
"Don't you wanna come with me? Don't you wanna feel my bones on your bones?

There's a double meaning in this piece. Leandra was killed by a man who wanted to bring his wife back to life. He wanted his lover back. But my interpretation of the song is a little more broad. I extended it to the interaction of a mother breastfeeding her child. Skin on skin is the first contact a child will have with his mother. It is a basic human need -- to love and to be loved. It propagates life, but in this case, such a desire ended several lives.
